Virobloc® Security System

Invented by Marcel Opinel in 1955, the exclusive Virobloc ring is present in all models from No. 06 onwards. Made from stainless steel, it locks the blade open for greater safety during use – and can also lock the blade closed, offering protection during transport.

Sustainable Beech Wood Handle

The handle is made from PEFC certified beech wood, sourced from eco-managed forests in the Jura and Vercors regions of France. With a light color and characteristic natural veins, the wood is resistant, durable and receives a protective varnish against humidity and dirt, ensuring beauty and longevity.
